Welcome New Fitness Director – Aaron Bryant

Aaron Bryant

Aaron joins our team with a diverse fitness background and several national certifications. His training approach is all about function, and he keeps his fitness programs simple with clear measurables. Outside of the club, you will find Aaron riding his Harley and spending time with family and friends. You’ll rarely find Aaron without a guitar an arm’s length away, and he is always up for a weekend getaway with his snowboard. Aaron can be reached at abryant@ffc.com.

Welcome New Personal Trainer – Marc Zavala
Welcome Marc Zavala as the newest member of our training team. Marc has over 7 years of training experience in the LA and Dallas markets. He enjoys helping clients make their fitness goals a reality. When not in the gym, you will find Marc and his Australian shepherd Tex enjoying the city. Marc is now accepting new clients. Schedule a complimentary session by emailing Marc at mzavala@ffc.com.

We are now offering open play Pickleball Monday through Friday from 10 AM – noon. No reservations are required, just show up and play! Lessons are offered Mondays at 9 AM (beginners) and Wednesdays at 9 AM (intermediate).

Join Austin on Halloween at 6:30 PM for SPOOKY SPIN. Ghoulish music will haunt the class as we crown the best costume with a spectacular prize.

We want to take a moment to thank you all for coming out to celebrate our anniversary with us! A great time was had by all as we celebrated FFC Gold Coast’s 25th anniversary.

Thank you to everyone who made it out for a such a wonderful night. All of the evenings photos have been posted on our FFC Facebook group. Skip Chapman, one of our most tenured trainers, chose this year’s charity organization – Canine Assistants. We raised $5,820 for this worthy cause. Thank you for your generosity!

We would like to welcome Aaron Glen, Brianna French, Lauren Spelich, Joelle Minassian, Zuri Russel and Teresa Somerestt to the FFC Gold Coast team!!

  • Aaron has a background in customer service and in his spare time can be found at the pool as a swim instructor.
  • Brianna (but you can call her Bri) is currently attending Loyola University. When she isn’t shopping at Sephora, she’s likely in the gym working towards her fitness goals.
  • Lauren is a fellow Loyola University student returning to FFC, and her love of watching sports can only be trumped by hiking with her dog and sudoku.
  • Joelle joins us as an experienced entrepreneur with her custom bag business and a guru of organization.
  • Zuri will be joining us at local’84 – she is a barista as well as a tea connoisseur. When she isn’t focusing her zen in yoga, she is pouring her creativity onto a canvas.
  • Teresa comes to us from the Union Station food court as a supervisor. She has always loved cooking and finds herself enjoying play time with her lovely grand-niece.

Monday, October 7 from 3 – 7 PM, we will have Walgreens in the club providing flu shots for members. The shot is no cost to you through most insurance providers (however, please double check with yours).

In honor of Veterans Day, we have complimentary one-week guest passes available for veterans good for the week of November 11 – 17. To register for one of these guest passes, please contact member services at brad.johnson@ffc.com.

In addition to our complimentary guest week for veterans, we will have Code Platoon ‘womaning’ a table in our lobby throughout the week. Stop by and learn more about this great organization. Code Platoon is a 501(c)3 non-profit that helps veterans and military spouses transition into the civilian workforce by providing technical training and career placement.

For 14 weeks the students are immersed in learning the full web development stack, including Python (or Ruby), Django (or Rails), JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. No previous programming skills are required. After completing the program the veteran or military spouse will be hireable as a junior full-stack web developer and eligible for an internship.
