This month, Chelsea Rice, FFC registered dietitian, is highlighting one of her favorites – RXBAR!

Why? RXBARs are whole food protein bars made with 100% real ingredients. Each delicious bar packs 12g of protein, 5g fiber, and NO added sugar, in under 220 calories. Just real food that tastes good and is good for you.

Our annual coat & food drive was an amazing success. The food was delivered to the Great Chicago Food Depository while all of the coats have been delivered to the Duty Free Shop in Hyde Park.

Thank you for your generosity!

We are accepting old athletic shoes in our lobby for the MORE Foundation Group during the month of January.

MORE is able to turn your shoes into enough revenue to assist in reforesting Ghana. With every pair of gently used athletic shoes, MORE is able to plant one ton of carbon-grounding trees and train poor farmers in sustainable agroforestry.

Each tree has a ten year value of $300. One tree can produce from 100,000 seeds to over 5 million seeds every year. Currently, MORE is distributing one million small trees to one million students using the thousands of schools in Accra, the capital of Ghana. Over the next few years, these million trees will generate enough tree seeds to reforest all of Ghana in a few decades. Over 80,000 trees have been planted by schools (students) in the capital of Ghana in the first year.
