Congratulations to FFC Oak Park’s November members of the month, Lynette and Mike Hoag! They shared a few thoughts about what membership at FFC means to them – here’s what they had to say:

1) What does membership at FFC mean to you?

We like the variety of exercise options: group fitness, yoga, weight rooms, swimming and updated cardio equipment.

2) When at FFC you will find me….

Either in a group fitness class, weight room, on the cardio equipment or swimming in the early morning. Doing different exercises keeps us engaged.

3) I work out to…

We work out to keep up with our children and enjoy an active lifestyle. We like to ski, camp, travel, hike, and scuba. We have to stay in shape to enjoy all of these activities.

Congratulations to FFC Oak Park October members of the month Sonia and Esmee! We spoke to them about their experience at the club and here’s what they had to say:

What does membership at FFC mean to you?

Esmee: Membership at FFC means having an accessible place where I feel comfortable working out. Whether it be swimming, climbing, or anything else… there is always a friendly and helpful staff member nearby.

Sonia: I first came to FFC to climb when I was around five years old. Nearly nine years later, I have started climbing close to six days a week. Having my membership at FFC has helped me develop myself as a climber more than I could have imagined. The great, supportive staff always encourages me. It is a great place I can always rely on for a workout. it has definitely helped me grow both mentally and physically.

When at FFC you will find me….

Esmee: At FFC, you will almost always find me at the rock climbing wall with my friends.

Sonia: When I am at FFC, you can without a doubt find me at the rock wall. It is my favorite workout and my all-time favorite activity.

I work out to….

Esmee: I work out to improve my overall health and because I enjoy it. Of all things, climbing is my favorite thing to do in my spare time.

Sonia: I work out to improve myself as much as I can as an athlete and person. Climbing helps me reach new heights and makes my life as enjoyable as it can be. I love the feeling of getting stronger and I hope to get stronger and stronger over time.
