In this 90-minute (Saturday, January 17 1:00 – 2:30 PM), beginner-friendly workshop, you learn calm, practical strategies drawn from judo, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling to stay safer, move with confidence, and protect your personal space—without high-impact throws or intimidating drills.

We’ll cover:

  • Managing distance to reduce risk and avoid escalation
  • Safely closing distance and creating angles to step away
  • Simple options if someone grabs you in a side headlock
  • What to do if you are taken to the ground

This class introduces a few basic tools; ongoing practice is recommended to build comfort and confidence. Class meets in the main group exercise studio. Questions? Email Jessica at JKorda@ffc.com.

Invite a friend the week of January 19 to January 25 who always talks about “getting back into it.” During Bring Your Buddy Week, your guest works out with you for free – classes, cardio, strength, basketball, pickleball, swimming. You check in together, we handle the rest. You get extra motivation, they get a taste of the club experience you love.

In order to participate, email Brad Johnson at Bjohnson@ffc.com with the name of your guest. The same guest can only come one time during this week.

Kick off your weekend with energy. On Saturday, January 31 from 8:30–11:00 AM, we turn the club into a mini day-party with a live DJ spinning upbeat house and feel-good favorites. Come lift, ride, or stretch to the music and start your Saturday on a high note.

Curious about pickleball but not sure where to start? Train with our own Pickleball Pro, Greg Borzo, and learn the basics—rules, scoring, smart positioning, and easy shot selections. You get clear instruction, a fun pace, and plenty of practice so you feel confident stepping onto any court.
