Which test is right for you? Click here for more information. A Resting Metabolic Rate measurement, conducted by our team of licensed registered dietitians, uses oxygen consumption at rest to determine a person’s caloric requirements for weight loss or maintenance.

Pre-Test Requirements
Please allow 60-90 minutes for setup, testing, and consultation. Testing requires 24 hours of rest and 5 hours of fasting prior to test administration. Please review full pre-test requirements here then schedule your appointment via email to metabolictesting@ffc.com.

Based on the chart below, your RPE should be between 6 – 8 during your workout.

#10 I am at my limit. I can’t move anymore. I have to stop.
#9 I am almost at my limit. I will have a hard time continuing to move.
#8 I can grunt responses can only keep this pace for a short period.
#7 I can still talk, but I don’t want to, and I am really sweating now!
#6 I can still talk, but getting breathless and definitely sweating.
#5 I’m just above comfortable, sweating more, but can still talk easily.
#4 I’m sweating a bit, but feel good and can carry on a conversation.
#3 I’m comfortable, but breathing a bit harder.
#2 I’m comfortable. I could do this all day.
#1 No exertion – watching TV.
