12 Days of Fitmas: The Ultimate Holiday Workout Recap

The holiday season in Chicago can be chilly, busy, and stressful—but staying active is one of the best ways to stay warm, energized, and festive. At FFC, we wanted to make it easy and fun for everyone to keep moving, whether at home or at the club. That’s why we created our 12 Days of Fitmas series, a collection of short, engaging workouts perfect for the holidays. Here’s a recap of what our amazing FFC instructors shared to help you stay fit, have fun, and relieve stress this season.

Pedal Through the Holidays with Spin Tips from Darren

Cycling enthusiasts and beginners alike got some valuable insights from Darren, who showed us how to pedal in a complete circle, push down and pull up at the same time, and tackle sprints and climbs. His tips made indoor spin classes more approachable and gave everyone a guide to interval training. It was a perfect way to stay warm and energized during Chicago’s colder months.

Mat Pilates for Every Fitness Level with Adanna and Grace

You don’t need a fancy studio or special equipment to get a great holiday workout. Adanna led a full mat Pilates session that only required a mat and your own body. She guided participants through a complete series that could easily be done at home or in an FFC studio. Grace followed with another Pilates mat session, highlighting specific moves with clear demonstrations on form and execution. Both workouts helped our community strengthen core muscles, improve flexibility, and enjoy a mindful break from holiday chaos.

Not everyone wants a structured workout, and that’s why Romeo brought some festive energy with Zumba! He broke down simple moves that anyone could try and encouraged participants to put on their favorite music at home. This session proved that holiday workouts can be fun, festive, and a fantastic stress reliever.
