June 24 Update:
The Sandburg Village Condominium Homeowners Association Board, Fitness Formula Club and the HOA Management team believe strongly that safety comes first and much consideration has gone into the final decision about the opening of the village pools during these unprecedented times.
While we know that some members will not agree with our approach, we always must consider what is generally best for the entire community. With that being said; at the HOA board meeting on 6/24/20, the Board decided to keep the pools closed for the 2020 season based on the opinions from HOA legal counsel and insurance, the HOA Board’s fiduciary duty on fiscal responsibility and the City of Chicago phasing plans.
We thank you for your patience and understanding and we look forward to seeing everyone in summer 2021.
June 18 Update:
The HOA Board will be taking their delayed vote on the Sandburg Pool season on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.
May 28 Update:
The HOA Board elected to delay the vote on the Sandburg Pool season until a survey of residents can be conducted. We will update this site as soon as we have more information.
May 8 Update:
As we approach the summer months we know that many of you have questions regarding the Stay at Home Orders and how they will impact the Sandburg Pool season this year. As of right now, we hope to be able to have a delayed start rather than a full cancellation of the season. However, with the uncertainty surrounding the end of the Stay at Home Order or their phase out steps at both the state and city levels we won’t have an official decision until the HOA Board meeting scheduled for 5/27/20. We understand that everyone looks forward to the pools opening every year, but we also are keeping safety as our first priority. As soon as a decision is reached we will be making an announcement so that everyone can plan for their summer. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this unprecedented time. Stay safe!
