Tip Of The Month
It’s been shown that a major mineral the majority of the population is lacking is Magnesium. The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of Magnesium for females 19-31+ years old is 310-320 mg/day, with that number increasing during pregnancy; for males, 19-31+ years, 400-420 mg/day is recommended. This mineral decreases naturally after one works out via sweat. It is critical for heart health, creating energy within our bodies, and regulates nerve transmission and muscle contraction. There are many food sources that contain magnesium, such as whole grains (i.e. brown rice), green leafy vegetables (i.e. spinach), and nuts (i.e. almonds). Furthermore, make sure you’re fueling your body with enough magnesium so your muscles can function adequately!
