Self-Defense Foundations
In this 90-minute (Saturday, January 17 1:00 – 2:30 PM), beginner-friendly workshop, you learn calm, practical strategies drawn from judo, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling to stay safer, move with confidence, and protect your personal space—without high-impact throws or intimidating drills.
We’ll cover:
- Managing distance to reduce risk and avoid escalation
- Safely closing distance and creating angles to step away
- Simple options if someone grabs you in a side headlock
- What to do if you are taken to the ground
