Instructor Spotlight: Ashleigh Brodhead

Group Fitness Instructor Ashleigh Brodhead has been with FFC since May 2018. Growing up in Maryland, she moved to Chicago 12 years ago to pursue a career in dance and fitness. Ashleigh has always been active, dancing her way through her youth and eventually receiving a BFA in Dance at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. 

Her athletic pursuits have led to completing 24 marathons, 5 full Ironman distance triathlons and numerous other short course triathlons. She is a StrongFirst level 2 kettlebell certified Trainer and is passionate about helping people get strong and find their best selves through fitness.

When Ashleigh isn’t teaching or working out, she volunteers at an animal rescue and eventually adopted her (silly) dog Sapphire from a local shelter. She loves to listen to music and go to concerts and was an accomplished flute player during her grade school years. She’s passionate about her part-time work as an activist for human rights and in her little spare time, she is learning how to train dogs.

  • Tuesdays at FFC Lincoln Park – 5:30 PM Total Body Blast and 6:15 PM Intro to Spin
  • Wednesdays at FFC Gold Coast- 6:30 AM LOADED, 5:30 PM Spinning Interval and 6:30 PM AMRAP
  • Sundays at FFC Gold Coast – 9 AM Yoga Sculpt and 10 AM Chisel

Format Spotlight – AMRAP

Have you tried our AMRAP class? AMRAP stands for “as many reps as possible.” AMRAP is a workout structure frequently used for conditioning; you push yourself to your max within a one minute period of time. This high intensity workout will help you to build muscle and improve your muscular endurance, cardiovascular health and conditioning. Come try it out every Wednesday at 6:30 PM with Instructor Ashleigh Brodhead. 

Class Spotlight – Spinning Interval Sundays at 9:15 AM

It’s too cold to ride outside, so join Instructor Geoff Alexander every Sunday at 9:15 AM for 45 minutes of Spinning Interval! Indoor cycling is a fantastic cardiovascular workout, and Geoff curates exciting playlists that motivate you to work hard. It’s a great way to kick off your Sunday morning!
