Staci is a fitness professional with over 12 years of experience in the industry. She began her career in the recreation center before graduating from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s of science in kinesiology in 2006. From there Staci earned her PT certifications from ACE as well as PTA Global and Primary Group Exercise from AFAA along with Zumba, Pound, Bellicon, and many other specialty certifications in order to keep up with the ever evolving fitness world.

Along with her fitness career Staci has pursued an education in business administration. She has always felt like it was important to have a full understanding of the moving parts of an industry to be successful in said industry. Staci started her MBA program in internet and social media marketing at the University of Phoenix and completed it at Saint Xavier University in 2014.

Spring clean your workout routine with our new group fitness schedule. Modern Mat and Running Club are back every Thursday afternoon! We are also excited to announce that 353 Fitness Center is now offering VIRTUAL CLASSES! These classes are available in the group fitness studio during designated time slots. Everything is preprogrammed and ready to go! Please note: there will be no live or virtual instructor.

The 7-week program is FREE to members, meets weekly on Thursdays from 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM and includes:

  • 15 minute stretching class before each (approximately 45-min) run
  • 1 nutrition consultation to learn how to fuel your overall athletic performance
  • 2 one-day guest passes to try out 353 Fitness Center
  • Access to locker rooms & showers before & after each run

Non-fitness center tenants are welcome*! The program is $40 and includes all the same perks.

Running Club is geared towards beginner/intermediate levels, however, faster runners are welcome to join and lead the pack!

Spring is right around the corner and what better way to get into the mood than with this bright, tasty smoothie recipe?! Enjoy this mango ginger smoothie that is not only delicious, but also has great health benefits.

Mango-Ginger Smoothie

  • 3/4 cup mango chunks (can be frozen)
  • 1/4 cup non fat vanilla greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup skim milk (or preferred alternative)
  • 1 cup kale, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp honey

Put everything in a blender and enjoy! Makes 1 serving. Double to share!

FFC Elmhurst master trainer Lilian Halloran has designed a well-rounded routine for you to try featuring the double kettlebell front squat (there’s a reason you see kettlebells all over the place – they’re amazing for strength, mobility and agility)! Suren is a registered dietitian with a background in athletics. She is passionate about being active and fueling for performance as she previously was a member of the University of Illinois Women’s Gymnastics team. Seeing the impact that nutrition played in her athletic career, she loves to share nutrition information with others so they can succeed in their goals too.
