Spotlight on Butts N Guts and FitStrength January 27, 2012
Butts N Guts, Monday nights 6:30-7:15pm. This is a core-driven class using stability balls, weights, and other props that will build all the major muscles of the lower body, including tightening and toning of the hips and glutes, along with strengthening the abdominals, obliques, and back! FitStrength, an FFC signature class, Wednesday nights 6:30-7:15pm. This Barbell workout is a muscular strength endurance class that will challenge all the major muscles of the body. Improve your overall strength, muscle endurance, body composition, and flexibility. The weighted Barbell can be adjusted to accommodate all fitness levels. This class is a great option for men! Intermediate Bootcamp begins the week of February 27. Tuesdays at 6:30am and Thursdays at 7:00am. 4 week program is $215/twice a week and $120/once a week. This session will challenge your muscular and cardiovascular system utilizing TRX® Suspension Training, kettlebells, medicine balls, and calisthenics. Welcome to 2012! Thank you for starting the New Year as an FFC member – it’s our favorite time of year. There’s so much energy in the Club, with so many people coming in to commit, or re-commit, to their health, fitness and wellness. It’s a time of hope and renewed discipline. We have a terrific staff full of fitness experts who are excited to help you.
I encourage you all to make a New Year’s resolution. Larry Elder said, “A plan without a goal is just a wish.” Don’t just wish! Get started by stating your resolution. Give yourself a goal. Follow up by making a plan. Then execute the plan, one step at a time. Some people think New Year’s Resolutions are cliché. I bet the people who have kept their resolutions and reached their goals don’t think so! Isn’t there something you’ve wanted to do for a while now? Maybe you want to learn to swim, lower your cholesterol, lose 15 pounds, or run a 5k? Sure lots of people decide they are going to do these things, but don’t. Remember though: some people do! You CAN be one of the successful ones – and FFC is here to guide you, encourage you and give you the tools you need to get the RESULTS you are looking for! And, if you need help making your goal, developing your plan, or staying on track, please let me know.
