Joy Miles

Joy Miles has been taking Pilates since high school and started teaching back in 2004. Joy's journey in Pilates started as part of her dance curriculum in high school. But, it was also a suggestion from her family doctor to help correct a moderate case of scoliosis. She continued taking Pilates classes in undergrad but did not start the steps to teach until a friend of hers suggested that she become a group Exercise Instructor. Not only did she become Group Exercise certified through AFAA but also Personal Training Certified as well. Her Pilates Certification comes from Balanced Body University and she has also taken continuing education courses through Peak Pilates and AFAA. Joy has continued and expanded her education by utilizing her skills and knowledge to mentor new instructors and also merging Pilates with Triathlon, Marathon and Swim training.
