Hooray! It’s May! A time for celebration, as we transition to that warm weather that puts a spring in our step! The flowers are in bloom, the sun is smiling down on us, and our spirits are soaring with positive energy. What are you celebrating this month? Will it be your first 5k? Maybe it’s your 40th birthday or your anniversary?
I will celebrate the birthdays of my two little angels, Bear and Sierra. My husky, Sierra, will be one, and my shepherd Bear will be three. They are excited as well; it means more walks for them, and they get to come to work with mom and join the Bark and Breakfasts at FFC Old Town with you and your pups.
So this month, take a bike ride or rollerblade over to the Club….however you decide, make it fun and celebrate! Fitness, fun, and furry friends!!! See you soon!

We continue to follow the health and fitness journey of our Year of Wellness winner Quinetta Taylor. Kids’ Climbing Camp April 29, 2013
Bring the kids in for any of the daily Chicago Kids’ Climbs to learn from a certified climbing instructor. Kids set their own bouldering routes, race up the rope ladder, take on kids versions of grown-up rope routes to the top of the wall, learn to belay and tie knots, learn lead climbing skills in mock-lead fashion, and make up heroic mountaineering rescue adventures! Camp meets either once-a-week or twice-a-week (your choice): Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday from 4:00pm-5:30pm and Saturday/Sunday from 9:00am-10:30am.

MOTIV8 Class April 29, 2013
Tuesdays from 6:30pm-7:15pm. Complimentary for Members. This high intensity training workout is designed to increase aerobic and anaerobic capacity, enhance power production, and develop overall strength. Short 20-second intervals at your “max” are followed by a 10-second rest; the drill is repeated for eight total rounds. Join Us For A Fun Run! April 29, 2013
Looking to join a fun running group? Then FFC is your Chicago Health Club destination. Join us on Tuesday nights at 6:00pm beginning May 7 for a complimentary “Fun Run” hosted by TriMonster® and FFC. Each Tuesday there will be a “Fun Run” at a designated FFC Club. Choose to run three miles or five miles. All levels are welcome. The first Tuesday of each month is open to Non-Members and guests.
