Congratulations to Peter Armstrong, FFC Oak Park’s September Member of the Month! We asked Peter about his experience at FFC, and here’s what he had to share:

What does membership at FFC mean to you?

I’ve been a member of lots of gyms in 4 different countries now. And the best all have something in common; the facilities are important of course but I think it’s the people and the welcome you receive that makes the real difference. FFC Oak Park excels and ticks all the boxes.

When at FFC you will find me….

Either being ‘Connanized’ and getting some Asian Body Work. Highly recommended. Being pampered by Julie. Chatting to Allen or the girls at the cafe. And of course, working in a little working out.

I work out to…

The full gambit really. But it’s all about feeling good, de-stressing and wanting to stay as fit and active as possible… mainly to keep up with my daughter!!

Attention Members: Indoor Pool Draining/Construction 6/5 – 6/9

Members, please be aware that Monday, June 5 through Friday, June 9 the entire pool deck will be closed for work needing to be completed. Members will not have access to the pool, hot tub or steam room during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. For questions and more information, please contact general manager Jeff Long at jlong@ffc.com.

We also have some exiting upgrades happening in the coming weeks!

We are expecting a delivery of 12 pieces of strength equipment, three adjustable benches and more bumper plates. We will be removing some equipment at that time so parts of the main fitness floor will be closed while this work is taking place. The work will start in the morning and will go until they are finished. We will be phasing out Activtrax so we will not be putting numbers on the new equipment when it arrives. Mike Radice and I are dedicated to serving those of you who do use the system. We would like to assist you in this transition so that this does not impact your ability to enjoy a great workout! Please see us for other options and ideas to help with your workout routine.

New washers and dryers will also be installed so we will not have laundry equipment available in the club for a number of days.  Towels will continue to be available, however, we ask that you please use only what is needed during this time. We will be increasing the capacity of our units to assist us in keeping the shelves stocked for you in the coming years.

We will be doing more work in the club this summer and I will continue to notify you via all available communication channels.

We strive to bring you the latest and greatest equipment and programs and listen to suggestions offered in our surveys. This is why we are very excited for what next week brings to the club.  We appreciate your understanding while this work is being completed and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Congratulations to Tracy Laluma, FFC Oak Park’s March Member of the Month! We asked Tracy about her experience at FFC, and here’s what she had to share:

What does membership at FFC mean to you?

My membership is an investment in my health. It is an opportunity to take at least an hour of my day to really focus on taking care of myself, and tune out everything else happening in my life. I love the fact that all the staff are so supportive of their members’ goals, and are always encouraging. There is always a positive atmosphere starting from the check in at the front desk, and throughout my time at the gym that day. My FFC membership allows me to be part of a community that truly supports my wellness.

When at FFC you will find me…

In personal training sessions with Justin, getting dietary training with Amy, doing various group classes with Nazha, and grabbing a smoothie at the cafe! Once in a while, I will treat myself to a massage at the spa.

I work out to…

Commit to a lifestyle change. Initially, I started to lose weight for my upcoming wedding, but seeing my progress and feeling the changes in my body inspires me to continue building my self-confidence.
