May Message from General Manager, Josh Leve April 29, 2013
Welcome to May! Can you believe that April has been the rainiest in the city of Chicago’s 143-year observational record? As the Chicago Weather Center points out, this far surpasses the average April rainfall of 3.38 inches!
While we hope the old adage of “April showers brings May flowers” holds true, the warmer weather of spring inevitably brings more opportunities to be outside. Keep in mind FFC Halsted Street has you covered. We started our FFC Fun Runs on Tuesday nights at 6:00pm (for more information, contact Kristin Strom at kstrom@ffc.com), our new group exercise schedule arrives June 1, and Yoga by the Lake will be back very soon!

We continue to follow the health and fitness journey of our Year of Wellness winner Quinetta Taylor. Join Us For A Fun Run! April 29, 2013
Looking to join a fun running group? Then FFC is your Chicago Health Club destination. Join us on Tuesday nights at 6:00pm beginning May 7 for a complimentary “Fun Run” hosted by TriMonster® and FFC. Each Tuesday there will be a “Fun Run” at a designated FFC Club. Choose to run three miles or five miles. All levels are welcome. The first Tuesday of each month is open to Non-Members and guests. Run a Half or Full Marathon April 29, 2013
June 10 – October 13. $299 (full program) for Members and $575 (full program) for Non-Members. Training for the Chicago Marathon or Chicago Half Marathon? Whether you’re a first timer or a veteran marathoner come join us! You must be able to run one mile without stopping to participate in the program. Comprehensive Chicago marathon training program includes up to three coached workouts and clinics per week which cover proper running form, nutrition, speed work, strength conditioning, yoga, and Pilates!
