Time to Work out…Inside?

Between BBQ’s and summer trips, summer fun can sometimes leave your gym workouts few and far between. And even if you decide to do your cardio workout outside with a run lakeside, there is no greater workout than what your FFC can give you. To help you stay focused, here are four reasons working out inside this summer can get you stronger than ever!
#1) The Weight Room
What can beat a solid strength workout in the gym? Between your trusty leg press and the vast amount of free weights, strength training just isn’t the same anywhere else. Plus, personal trainers are on hand to put together a workout for you and help motivate you the whole way.
#2) Fitness Classes
However beneficial outdoor activities are, it can sometimes be hard to work out without a structured workout. FFC classes like FitKick and Interval Ride give you a killer workout without the hassle of creating your own plan. Add in music and a fitness coach and you have all that you need!
#3) Fill-in-the-blanks
Many of us are really active during the summer – from running by the lake, biking more than usual, or just doing yard work around the house. FFC is a great place to go to round out all those outdoor activities. Is your back tight from bending in the garden? Get to that Yoga or Pilates class you’ve wanted to try. Legs killing you from riding your bike? Come try an Ampd UP class, and work you upper body for a change.

Taking that into consideration, almost every Club offers some sort of structured, outdoor activity – whether it’s a yoga class on the sundeck at Lincoln Park, a spin class on the rooftop at Gold Coast, or Yoga by the Lake – you CAN have the best of both worlds.
