Having a fitness partner can motivate you to workout even when you don’t want to simply because you know someone is counting on you. Instead of dreading your daily workout, you’ll find yourself looking forward to catching up with your friend. Trainer Spotlight – Meet Jason Duley December 22, 2011
Jason Duley joined the 190 Athletic Club Personal Training Department in 2008 and has over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry. He received his Personal Training Certification from the National Personal Training Institute, and graduated from DePaul University with a degree in finance. When not at his full time job, he can be found at the 190 Athletic Club training his clients or working out himself. He specializes in weight loss, strength training, sport specific training, and muscle-mass building. Jason is available Monday – Friday 5:30am-7:30am and every night but Thursday from 5:30pm – close. Instructor Spotlight – Mary Delany December 22, 2011
Mary DeLaney is a Master Johnny G Spin Instructor, also trained in Pilates, Yoga, Senior Fitness, Total Control and Sculpt. In addition to teaching several classes each week, Mary has participated in 9 full marathons, 3 half marathons, 5 triathlons and plans to run the Boston Marathon when she is 70 (no qualification needed then!). Fitness has been a large part of Mary’s life despite a full time job that required out of town travel weekly. Her mother was a golf pro and avid walker so the example was set young. Please join Mary on Fridays for Spin Express at 11:30am and Fitcore at 11:55am.

Tuesday, July 12. 12:15pm-1:15pm. Complimentary*. Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly. FFC Yoga Instructor Jennifer Shin will introduce you to its four pillars: Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit. This class is an introductory class ideally for those who are new to the practice and would like to learn more about it. Class is limited to 12 participants. Complimentary Spinal Screenings June 27, 2011
Wednesday, July 20, 11:00am-2:00pm, presented by Chiro One Wellness Centers. Because “normal function” of individual spinal joints can be difficult to self-identify, spinal screenings can be very valuable. Small or undetected spinal problems often lead to neck and lower back pain, or other more serious problems. A spinal screening by Chiro One can detect early indicators such as poor posture, decreased range of motion, muscle weakness, spinal misalignment and even loss of skin sensation. Stop by the club for this non-invasive, enlightening screening. Members and non-members welcome.
